Texture in Spring

I love Calla Lilies. And this year they are absolutely gorgeous. So many things that are blooming these days are abundant with beauty. It could be that the harsh winter has brought about a beautiful Spring--whatever the reason, I am enjoying it.

I decided to take a few Calla Lily shots and add a texture in photoshop. I used to do the same kind of thing in the darkroom. Back then we would take two or more negatives and sandwich them together to get different effects. I can now add texture by layering images in photoshop. It takes a lot less time than the old darkroom days and you don't have to smell all those photographic chemicals. Plus I can watch TV while I work. I just love technology.

The first three images have the texture added and the last image of the Calla Lily was taken with a Lensbaby Composer with the Soft Focus Optic without texture. Just in case you were wondering.
